  1. Mr. Hadj-Moussa, Thanks for the wonderful meal. My family and I are always happy with your food and hospitality. Be well and see you soon.

Thanks for the Father’s Day date dessert!

  2. I recently discovered the Barbary Fig (thank you Sally!). I love this place. In fact, my husband and I brought a group of 11 in. The owner was fantastic, we pre-arranged with him a price and then asked him to plan the menu. He did a fantastic job of blending an appetizer, two different entrees that we all shared and a dessert. The Mediterranean food with a slight French influence is a real treat! Kudos to him for successfully running this restaurant since 1989!

  3. I accompanied a friend with her ethnic dining group last Friday night. It was an awesome choice. I tried foods I’ve never had before and loved them ALL!! The Brik, Bastilla and Poached Pear for Dessert….OMG!! I WILLLLL BE BACK!! The staff and chef/cook were very hospitable.

  4. well. I am embarrassed to say I had never been to the BF before a friend from Bemidji recommended it to me. And I live here! A sumptuous place and food. Immediately fell in love. Wish you had a happy hour starting at 4, but maybe keeping the hours as they are helps make the place what it is.
    Thank you.

  5. My husband and I have been dining at the Barbary Fig since it opened. We love the place. The food is wonderful, Hadj is a master chef who cares about what he’s serving his guests; service is always pleasant and personable. As long as I’m able to climb those stairs to the second floor dining room, I’ll be back. The outdoor patio is a seasonable treat. Thank you, Hadj, for having been such a vital contributor to the quality of life in St. Paul for so many years.

  6. I absolutely l love this restaurant. The owner went out of his way to make us feel welcome and the food was delicious. This is my new favorite restaurant in St. Paul and I would definitely recommend it to anybody.
